Chemical composition of calcium silicon blocks

Calcium silicon contains 22-35% calcium and 60-65% silicon. YB 525-65 specifies that the calcium content shall not be less than 31%, 28%, and 24%, respectively. The Ca content is generally 24-31%, and the Si content is between 55-65%.  Mainly used as an inoculant for cast iron. Calcium silicon alloy has strong reducing ability and is also used as a deoxidizer for high-quality steel. Due to the high activity of calcium at steelmaking temperature and its unstable effect, it is advisable to add some slowing agent. As a deoxidizer for steel, Calcium silicon barium alloy, Calcium silicon barium aluminum alloy, or Calcium silicon manganese alloy are commonly used.The chemical composition of calcium silicate blocks is as follows:
